Top 4 cream blushes for spring/summer

Hello bees, I hope you’re having a fab week. The weather is stunning for me so it’s been fun going for our daily walk. In today’s post I’m going to be talking you babes through my top four cream blushes.

One of the top 2020 spring/summer beauty products is blush with a cream formula and falls in line with the dewy/glass skin trend. A cream blush looks more like the texture of skin, blends easier and clings to less texture than a powder. I prefer cream products as they are great for dryer skin types as they provide hydration to the skin.

The first product Too Faced Peach My Cheeks blush is technically a cheat product as it’s a hybrid of both cream and powder. This starts off as a cream but then dries down to a powder finish. I love the shade ‘so peachy’ it’s a gorgeous hot pink and pairs so well when my skin has caught some sun. Don’t be scared of the bright colour however as this can be applied sheer or built up dependent on your makeup style. One of the best things about this is the scrummy smell of peach. This also looks super pretty on the skin and has a slight gold metallic shift when it hits the light. I apply this using a damp beauty blender and bounce it onto the skin, this really pushes the product in. This costs £25 for 12.5g

Next up is the Glossier Cloud Paint which if you read my last post, will know are two products new to my collection. These are my current favourite cream blushes, I literally adore the formula and how well it melts into the skin and literally makes you look a little flushed. I apply by squeezing a small dot onto my hand and lightly patting it with my fingers onto the apple of my cheeks. This can also be set with a powder and doesn’t ball up or go textured, this is a great tip for those of you with oily skin. My current favourite shades are ‘puff’ which is a light pink and ‘beam’ which is a coral. These cost £15 each for 10ml.

Lastly we have the Colourpop Blush Stix, the easiest to use out of the four. Simply twist up the push stick and dot lightly onto the face. This is extremely pigmented so care is needed not to over apply, I then blend it out using a damp beauty sponge or my fingers. This has a slightly more hydrating formula than the others so I use this blush when I’m doing a full dewy look and it makes the face look so healthy and flushed. I use the shade ‘mic drop’ which costs $8/£6.49 for 8g.

From left to right- Too Faced Peach my cheeks shade ‘so peachy’, Glossier Cloud Paint shades ‘beam & puff’ & Colourpop Blush Stix shade ‘mic drop’.

Have you tried any cream blushes? What are your favourites? Let me know in the comments below!

  1. These look amazing I love the Too Faced one.
I just got the Honest Beauty one and I’m eyeing the Fenty ones too but I want to swatch them in stores, I’m afraid they might be too dark for my tastes.
